Salon of Excellence curated by DeGorsi, returned to Pitti Uomo with its new edition of 2024 dedicated to fashion Aesthetes, taking place at magnificent Palazzo Gaddi in heart of Florence, on January 10th, 2024.
This year’s roster of participating brands showcased the cream of Italian artisanal luxury brands and a superb newcomer to the tailoring world, SCALA by Nikolas Barelier, an architect from Athens, who embarked on the sartorial journey creating masculine ready to wear tailoring intended for true aesthetes, providing excellent value for money.
The bespoke tailoring selection was spearheaded by renowned aesthete Valentino Ricci of Sciamat who presented their latest sartorial creations intended for truly refined gentlemen, searching for elegance with nonchalance. Famed shirtmaker Siniscalchi from Milan presented their new bespoke pieces – this time in unusual Casentino wool and even a special piece for ladies in interesting fur – something very original and rarely seen; on the other part of the ballroom of Palazzo Gaddi were Sartoria Voglio trousers, hand made in Naples to the utmost detail, in selection of exquisite fabrics. In the accessories department, Viola Milano showcased a beautiful selection of hand made items for gentlemen, from fine shantung silk ties to linen pochettes and fine shirts club collar shirts.
Special keynote speaker at the event was the renowned men’s elegance expert, writer Bernhard Roetzel, who for decades is inspiring style aficionados worldwide with his discreet elegance.
Ladies segment curated by Cris Egger, featured Luca Giannola’s pleated creations in pure silk tule , all hand made in his Atelier in Bologna, that superbly capture all the feminine elegance one can immagine.
During the evening guests enjoyed cocktails created for the occasion with a special edition of DeGorsi Gin distilled with precious notes of Earl Grey tea.
